Manic Miner is an adaptation for Windows of one of the best platform games for the Spectrum ZX from Sinclair. In Manic Miner you have to guide a miner through levels full of danger (The Solar Energy Generator, The Storeroom, The Central Cave ...).

The controls are really simple, and you can look on the author's website about them. They are just to move the character left, right, and jump. There is also a kid´s mode that's simpler and with some advantages over the normal mode.

To play this game you need to be really quick, very accurate and sometimes patient. You can't limit yourself to just killing your enemies and moving to the next level. No, you have to work a bit more. The game always has a humouristic and surrealist touch that make it more personal. In summary, Manic Miner is without doubt one of those immortal classics. Long live retro mode!
